About

I’m an 19-year-old Brazilian student, flash animator, writer, webcomic artist and ranter. This blog is my “home” in the internet, where I post stories, reviews, webcomics — all in all, my stuff, the things I can be credited with as an author.

If you want to contact me, send me an e-mail: andrenavarro.3@gmail.com

If you want random thoughts, to know what I’m doing or simply read a lot of varied cursing, I have a Twitter account.

If you want interesting links, images, videos, stuff that isn’t mine but that I like, I have a Tumblr account. But I don’t use it anymore, because that Tumblarity thing just annoys me. Perhaps I’ll go back to it when it doesn’t drop to zero if I don’t use it for two days.

If you’re interested in my photography and artwork, that goes on my Flickr account. I also host “Pitch Black” webcomics there now.

If you’re interested in my flash animation, I have an account on Newgrounds.

I also have a Youtube account, but I have yet to make use of it properly. I have two videos, one of them a fucking HORRIBLE trailer I made for “Kill Bill” when I was younger (and far, far stupider).

The one forum I post regularly too, which I consider my Internet “pub”, is Warren Ellis’ Whitechapel. Because it’s full of intelligent, artistic people with a great sense of humor, but interested in serious discussion and in using grammar correctly. So if you click this link and sign in there — please don’t change that. Read the rules, they’re very clear.

That’s about it. Oh, and fuck, I surrendered to Facebook.

This is my internet home. All are welcome.

hi Andre. i stumbled on your review of Unknown Soldier #6, and found your comments about my work most gratifying. thank you very much.

you’re pretty articulate for an 18-year old. are you going into comics?

thanks again for your kind words. i hardly ever hear anything from anybody, good or bad, so it’s nice to hear that someone’s paying attention.

i think you’ll like #8, which i turned in proofs for last week. the art team has not changed, but it’s still a pretty good issue.

    You’re welcome, Clem.

I love writing for anything that involves storytelling. My aim is filmmaking, but as long as there’s writing involved, I’ll be glad to do it.

i would suggest that you do whatever you have to do to break into film. nine tenths of my colleagues in comics wish they had done so. i was an assistant to some film editors in New York when i was 16, but never further pursued it.

here is a brilliant piece of wisdom for you: no matter what field you want to go into, nobody but nobody is trying to keep you out. if you can make money for them, they want you and they want you badly. they just don’t know you yet.

    best of luck, Andre.

Thank you so much for that. That’s indeed wise, and also very encouraging.
